The door knob makes it too easy to believe that there's something interesting inside.
Not surprising that nature seems to abhor this humble knob. Even when provoked by an onslaught of microbial corrosion it does not fight back. It stands by and lets the world watch while it is unjustly derided and weathered away knowing full well that evil and prejudice can only be undone by kindness and compassion. Although black history month has passed I have no doubt that Martin Luthor King Jr would be proud of your gallant metaphorical depiction of him.
